Welcome to the College Station Noon Lions Club web site. We are glad you visited.
College Station Lions Club was chartered 65 years ago as a club for A&M faculty and staff with 26 charter members. At the time only men could be Lions. Today known as College Station Noon Lions Club, its almost 170 members come from diverse backgrounds from both College Station & Bryan. Women are approximately 20% of the membership.
In its 65 years, the College Station Noon Lions Club has sponsored 3 other Lions clubs, built Lions Park by the fire station on University Ave. in College Station, built St. Joseph Hospital’s first helicopter pad, provided hundreds of free eye exams and eye glasses for low income children and adults, sponsored children with physical disabilities and Type I diabetes to free summer camp at Texas Lions Camp, and much more. Today the Club is partnering with 2 other service clubs to spearhead the development of the Fun for All Playground, a barrier-free playground to be built in College Station. Our ongoing service projects include sponsoring the “I Love America” 4th of July Celebration and Fireworks (55 years), quarterly highway trash cleanups, judging Weinerfest races, and providing eyeglasses. We raise funds to support our service activities with All Things Chocolat’, sales of Christmas Trees, Honoring Our Heroes dinner and show, and Lions Jazz Festival. All funds raised from these events are returned to the community through service projects and charitable donations.
Our club welcomes individuals who believe in serving their community and others in need. If you would like to learn more, please contact a member of our club or send a message to president@csnoonlions.org. Attending a meeting is the best great way to learn about the Club. Just let us know when to expect you.
